belinda ackermann was born in malawi, lived in mauritius, and moved to the u.k. when she was nine. she trained as a designer at central st martins, and won an arts council bursary to work at west yorkshire playhouse as a theatre designer.

she has worked extensively all over the U.K. in theatre and dance, and all over the world in corporate events. belinda has recently trained as an animator, developing a broad range of digital techniques.
her work is distinguished by a passion for the imaginative use of colour, she takes pleasure in fusing all design elements into a coherent whole and in crafting a space within which a story can unfold with beauty, truth and simplicity.
